Marvin Powell (our oldest brother) paved the way for making Eddie's dream come true. Marvin was one of the top players for High school basketball. He received, a 4-year basketball, scholarship to Hartford University.
Eddie was inspired, by his older brother. Marvin gave Eddie the drive and the ambition to pursue, his dream. Sadly, Marvin passed away, during, Eddie's first year of college leaving him devastated. Eddie, worked harder to make his dream of becoming, an NBA player come true.
Eddie Jamaal Griffin, a former first round pick who joined the Houston Rockets as a Rookie; began his career with the Rockets, after being drafted and traded by the New Jersey Nets. Making Houston his home, he enlisted his family and friends to join him, on his NBA journey. Eddie was loved by his family and friends; the crowd and fans loved him too.
E.J.G Foundation will donate funding to various organizations that value the youth of today. We aspire to help multiple organizations give back to the community and fund different projects that will encourage others to do their best. By God's grace all things are possible.
